4 undergraduates from St John's College, Cambridge visited the Joint School on 18th April. The 4 attended English modules, communicated deeply with their peers from the Joint School and explored the cultural differences between China and the UK. It is such a delight to have friends coming from afar. And the Joint School students treated their friends to Sichuan cuisine and began their group discussion in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Eager to learn more about this “mysterious” university on another continent, the Joint School students wrote down their questions cards and then their British friends picked up a card every time and answer their questions. In this free style, better mutual understanding was achieved, especially in aspects as daily life, academic course study and making use of free time. These 4 were deeply impressed by the English fluency of their Chinese friends and both sides would like to keep in contact afterwards.
