西南交通大学-利兹学院课程由引进的利兹大学课程和交大课程组成，其中引进的利兹大学课程采用全英文教学，教学形式灵活多样，包括理论课、研讨课、实践课等。学院采用西南交大与利兹大学联合制定的培养方案，由西南交通大学教师、利兹大学教师联合执教。为发挥课程助教对本科教学的辅助作用，学院现面向全校公开招聘2024-2025学年课程助教：
一、聘任条件：
1. 政治合格，具备良好的责任意识和服务精神。
2. 具有课程相关的理论知识和专业素养，学业成绩优良。
3. 具有良好的英语写作与口语表达能力，较好的沟通协调能力。
4. 博士一年级研究生和优秀的硕士研究生。
二、工作职责：
1. 严格遵守学校和学院的相关规定，认真履行助教岗位职责，熟练掌握教学平台使用方法，同时认真完成任课教师或教学教师事务中心安排的与课程相关的其他工作。
2. 课前准备：应协助任课教师完成教学所需资料的整理工作；课前做好教学设备调试等准备工作。
3. 课堂辅助：应坚持随堂听课，了解教学内容、方式和进度；认真记录课堂考勤，协助处理教学过程中的相关问题。
4. 辅导答疑：按任课教师要求做好辅导答疑等工作。
5. 协助实验：提前做好实验准备工作；指导学生规范操作；做好课后收尾工作。

SWJTU-Leeds Joint School Teaching Assistants Recruitment
The SWJTU-Leeds Joint School approved by the Ministry of Education, is a partnership between Southwest Jiaotong University and the University of Leeds in the UK. Founded in 1896 as the “Imperial Chinese Railway College”, Southwest Jiaotong University is one of the earliest institutions of higher engineering education in China. It has become known as “the cradle of railway engineers in China”. The University of Leeds is ranked as one of the Top 100 universities in the world.
Our degree programmes combine the best aspects of the UK and the Chinese education systems. All programme related modules are delivered in English, including seminars, workshops, experiments and so on.
About the position:
Teaching assistants may help with preparation for class, giving feedback and supporting students in experiments and practice, which will provide you with valuable experience to work with students and enhance your employability.
Qualifications:
1. Honesty and trustworthiness, good moral quality, physical and psychological health.
2. Module-related theoretical knowledge and professional qualities, excellent academic performance.
3. Good English writing and oral expression skills, good communication skills.
4. First-year doctoral students and excellent master's students.
Responsibilities:
1. Strictly abide by the relevant regulations of the Joint School and SWJTU, and take the responsibilities of teaching assistants.
2. Be familiar with the use of teaching platform.
3. Pre-class preparation: assist the teacher preparing the teaching materials.
4. In-class assistance: do attendance monitoring and help with the teaching operation.
5. After-class tasks: counseling and answering questions.
6. Experiments assistance: make preparation for experiments and guide the students to do experiments.
7. Other tasks assigned by the teacher of the Teaching Support Office of the Joint School.
