Simon Skempton is a Teaching Fellow in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at the University of Leeds. He has previously taught EAP at the University of York and at the National Research University - Higher School of Economics in Moscow (where he also taught philosophy and history). He holds a Trinity College Diploma in TESOL and has been teaching English language for almost thirty years. Aside from the UK and Russia, he has taught English in Qatar, Bahrain, and Guinea. He also holds a PhD in Philosophy and has published two books and numerous articles in that field.
