On 6thJune, the SWJTU-Leeds Joint School held a graduation feedback meeting for the cohort 2019. Attendees included Zhao Duo, Vice Dean, Tian Huaiwen and Huang Deqing, Deputy Programme Directors for ME and EE programmes, and faculty and student representatives.
At the meeting, the graduates shared their experiences of their studies, expressing gratitude towards their teachers for their guidance and support. Additionally, graduates provided suggestions and proposals for further improving the school in regards to teaching arrangements, feedback mechanisms, internships and practical experiences, emphasizing the need for greater focus on students' overall personal development, providing better opportunities for their future careers.The meeting concluded with a group photo and graduates presenting gifts and well-wishes to their teachers.
Tian Huaiwen expressed his views on teaching and learning, "Teaching and learning go hand in hand. Students' education could not have been accomplished without guidance from our faculty, and the development of the school will continue to rely on the contributions of the students and alumni. As the students are soon leaving campus, I hope that they will not forget to look back upon their Alma Mater."
Responding to the opinions and suggestions of EE students, Huang Deqing said, "Today, we are not just teachers and students but friends. You have all done an excellent job, which is why you have achieved such great results! We teachers will continue to work hard to enhance the quality of teaching, and we are confident that with the efforts from all parties, the Joint School will continue to improve. We look forward to seeing you become even better in the future."
